Course Description

This course introduces students to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Topics include: Medical record documentation, measuring vital signs, preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, ethics and the legal aspects of healthcare, and pharmacology. This course is part one of four program components:

Part 1: EKG Techniques (28 hours)

Part 2: Phlebotomy Techniques (64 hours)

Part 3: Clinical Techniques (68 hours)

Part 4: Externship (160 hours - full time schedule)

 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE is available for students who are eligible. We currently have ETF Lite Funds for tuition assistance for the Summer and Fall semesters. These funds are available until fully exhausted or until September 2025 (whichever comes first). It is in your best interest to complete your application as soon as possible, in order to secure your financial assistance. The program application has a section dedicated to determine eligibility.
