CSA 516 - Pharmacy Technician
Course Description
This PTCB certified 130-hour program introduces students to the theoretical knowledge and hands-on training necessary to work as pharmacy technicians in retail, hospital, and fulfillment pharmacy settings. Topics include the history of medicine, pharmacy terminology, prescription processing, compounding, inventory management, and state and federal pharmacy regulation. This program includes taking the PTCB National exam, which is a requisite for course completion.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE maybe available for students who are eligible.
Prerequisites
- Place into ENG 099/101 or above on the Workforce Development Placement Exam. This exam may be waived upon review of your college transcript.
- High school diploma or GED/HiSET certificate.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Registration
STEP 1 Collect your required documents (including the placement exam scores).
STEP 2 Complete and submit your program application.
STEP 3 The status of your application will be modified upon review. Students will either receive a "Complete" or "Incomplete" status.
- Complete: You may move forward to enrolling into the course.
- Incomplete: You must correct any errors or provide any missing information specified by the Program Manager.
