Course Description

In GPRO Fundamentals of Building Green, students will learn to view buildings from a sustainability perspective, focusing on strategies that promote energy efficiency, health, and resilience. The course covers the relationship between buildings and climate change, fundamental concepts of green construction, and the role of energy systems in reducing overall consumption. 

This course is designed for individuals seeking a foundational understanding of high-performance buildings, including:

  • Sales or administrative professionals in real estate, construction, architecture, or engineering
  • Facilities and operations staff
  • Those interested in starting a career in the building or construction industry

Students may earn 4 AIA and GBCI continuing education credits. To earn the GPRO Fundamentals Certificate, students must pass a 25- question multiple-choice exam.
