Course Description

Browning the Green Space’s Climate P.A.T.H. (Preparing for Access, Training and Hiring) program is an interactive, cohort-based learning experience designed to help students understand how energy and climate systems shape everyday life, community conditions, and economic opportunity.

Through a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, participants will explore how energy impacts housing, transportation, cost of living, and neighborhood health; how climate change and environmental justice intersect; and how clean energy solutions and career pathways fit into a rapidly changing economy.

The course, developed and led by Browning the Green Space, breaks down complex topics in clear, accessible language and emphasizes systems understanding, critical thinking, and informed choice—rather than assuming prior technical knowledge or pushing students toward a single career outcome.

Prerequisites

None.

No prior experience in climate, energy, or environmental studies is required. This course is designed for students who are curious about how energy and climate systems affect their lives and communities.
