Course Description

This course provides language support for students enrolled in the Medical Assistant Training course. It strengthens the English language skills needed for success in healthcare training by focusing on language access, medical vocabulary, and exam literacy. Students develop reading comprehension, learn to interpret exam questions and clinical documents accurately, and practice workplace writing and professional communication.

Prerequisites

  • Pass CSA 362 Medical Assistant ESOL 

  • Enroll in CSA 363 Medical Assistant Training

  • Completion of required medical documentation:

    • Physical Examination Form (within the past 12 months)

    • Immunization Form (within the past 6 months)

  • High school diploma or GED/HiSET certificate.

  • U.S. work authorization.
