Course Description

This course is designed for adult English learners to gain proficiency and confidence in speaking and listening in real-world settings.  Through presentations, improvisation work, debates, and monologues, students will become comfortable saying what they think when they think it.  They will speak with increased accuracy and fluency. The course is also designed to help adult learners improve their writing in English. Learners will increasingly organize ideas around themes, write an organized paragraph, and elaborate their developing ideas clearly and cohesively. Emphasis is placed on developing confidence and fluency in written and verbal English communication.
Pre-Requisite is placement to Level 4, 5, 6 or 7.
